Every garden experiences seasons. There are times of abundant growth, vibrant blooms, and plentiful harvest. But there are also seasons of pruning, dormancy, and apparent inactivity. The wise gardener knows that growth continues even when it's not visible. Our spiritual journey follows similar patterns. We experience seasons of obvious growth and blessing, but also seasons that feel dry and difficult. During these challenging times, our natural instinct might be to uproot ourselves—to change churches, leave relationships, or abandon commitments. Yet it's often in these dry seasons that our roots grow deepest. God promises that those who trust in Him will be like trees planted by water, extending their roots to the stream. Even in drought, their leaves remain green and they never fail to bear fruit. This promise isn't for those who move from place to place seeking better conditions, but for those who remain faithfully planted through every season.

Bible Verse

"Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." - Jeremiah 17:7-8

Reflection Question

What has God been teaching you during your current spiritual season, whether it feels fruitful or dry?

Quote "Don't mistake discomfort for God's direction. We grow the most in seasons that are uncomfortable. Stay planted even when the growth is invisible."

Prayer

Father, give me the strength to remain planted through every season of life. Help me trust Your timing and Your process, knowing that You're working even when I can't see it. Thank You for the promise that those who trust in You will never cease to bear fruit. Amen.
