DevotionalAs Christians, we are called to be the kindest, most compassionate, and giving people. This includes showing mercy and grace to others, just as we have received from God. Sometimes, we are hesitant to extend the same forgiveness and grace that we have been given. Forgiveness is a powerful expression of love. It means letting go of grudges, praying for those who hurt us, and seeking reconciliation. By forgiving others, we reflect God’s love and mercy, and we free ourselves from the burden of bitterness. Today, let’s focus on forgiving those who have wronged us. Extend grace and mercy, and seek to reconcile broken relationships.
Bible Verse
'Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.' - Ephesians 4:32
Reflection Question
Is there someone you need to forgive today? How can you extend grace and mercy to them?
Quote 'The very concept of our faith is a salvation that we did not earn. We have been shown mercy when we were unworthy of mercy. We have been given grace when we never earned grace. But sometimes we are so hesitant to give to others what we have been given.'
Prayer
Father, thank You for the forgiveness and grace You have shown me. Help me to extend the same forgiveness and mercy to others, reflecting Your love in my actions. Amen.
